Story 10 – Stories from Shony – “Iditarod Part 2”

This story is about leadership and following the commands of the Master.  As the race continues to the Yukon and beyond, listen to the brave move of a musher as he battles the elements and strengthens his team through calm commands and insight to put Wings in the lead.  Join Shony as she shares with the pups in the kennel about the blizzard and trials of the Southern Route.  Will the Mushers move pay off, will he survive, will the team keep going?  All these questions will be answered in Story 10.  Come join us in the Last Great Race on Earth.    Download the Southern Route Map Here.  Right Click and click “Save As”

Story 9 – Stories from Shony – “Iditarod Part 1”

This story is about how to find courage and strength in the midst of challenges.  Hear Shony tell about her great grandma Wings and how she helped lead a team to win the Iditarod.  The story walks us through the beginning part of the trail and the obstacles that lie in wait for every competitor.  Come listen to Part 1 of the Iditarod and fly on the Wings of a sled dog.  Wind, cold and darkness are the hardest parts of The Greatest Race on Earth.  Oh, don’t forget the Moose.

Story 8 – Stories from Shony – “Chaos in the Kennel!”

This story is about how to find peace in your life.  If your not careful, life in the kennel can get out of control.  Anger, selfishness, whining and petty bickering are all put aside for the sake of the team and love for each other.  It’s not easy, but remembering to live by the simple rules will help your kennel find the answers to chaos in the kennel.  Soon Shony tells her kennel mates about adventures in the Iditarod.

Story 7 – Stories from Shony – “It’s Not Fair!” 

This story is about fairness.  Listen in on the dynamics of a race gone sour and the way the kennel needs to deal with it.  Heartbreak, anger and retaliation are all set aside as  truth and fairness are played out among Shony and her friends.   The team learns a valuable lesson on how important it is to do the right thing and not get upset when others don’t play fair.  Soon Shony tells her kennel mates about adventures in the Iditarod.

Story 6 – Stories from Shony – “A Tribute to Caleb”

This story focuses on a recent passing of a wonderful Sled Dog named Caleb.  It has been a very difficult week for all of us and we thought it would help us to create a tribute to him and all the other wonderful companions, that are so much a part of our lives.  We’re not sure if you will like this story, but we all needed to say goodbye.  We aren’t 100% sure that all animals go to Heaven, but we know there are animals there, so lets hope so…

Story 5 – Stories from Shony – “Listening to the Masters Voice!”

This story focuses on listening to the Masters Voice and how important it is for a Lead Dog.  Shony shares how she has learned, through trials and mistakes, on what to do in times of crisis.  Stay focused, don’t panic and listen to the Master.  It’s important, because those around her need the comfort, peace and strength of a good Lead.

Story 4 – Stories from Shony – “Running the Good Race!”

This action packed story gives a behind the scene look at the sled dog race.  Listen as Shony and her kennel mates get ready for an exciting and adventurous sprint dog race.  Run hard, stay focused, and most importantly, please the master, is the discussion of the kennel.  Imaginations are running wild and nerves are tested as the team is gearing up for the challenge.
